"When life walks without the immediate and visible consequences of sin, sin can sometimes seem reasonable." Oh, my! You are so right. If there are no consequences for sin, then we begin to assume that sin is not really sin. I'm so excited to realize that God has placed some "new things" in my future…..just waiting for me to get there! That is such an encouragement to me! Thank you Elarye!Maiilnn…in Mississippi

You *can* make a martini without ice cubes, but you need a freezer, and enough time for your gin, vermouth, olive brine (if you're me, and like them dry'n'dirty) to get as cold as they possibly can. Then you make it very quickly. You can still stir. Shaken is for heathens. 😉

  4. Ah, makes me think of the famous quote “Writing is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.” – Winston Churchill

  5. You’re the one with the brains here. I’m watching for your posts.

  6. to single payer advocates, “You people will be the last left standing.” because only single payer will work in the long run. How many people will have to suffer and die in the interim? That's up to the vagaries of political will in the US.
